- Dr. (Col) VK Gupta har fået den særlige udmærkelse at have sit navn i Guinness Book of World Records for at være en del af et hospital på hjul i længst tid. Han er professor og seniorkonsulent (medicin og gastroenterologi) ved Command Hospital og Armed Forces Medical College kompleks i Pune.
- Her beskæftigede han sig med undervisningen af Post Doctoral, Post Graduate og Under Graduate studerende, udover at være leder af Gastroenterologiske tjenester på Kommandohospitalet. Forud for dette blev han udnævnt til leder af Gastroenterology services og Senior Consultant Gastroenterology ved div. tertiært plejeniveau Command Hospitals of Armed Forces - Army Hospital, Research & Referral, Delhi, Base Hospital, Delhi, Lucknow, Chandigarh og Udhampur
